What is the key to Internet business success? It's simple: Targeted Traffic. This can be done writing short 400 word articles and submitting them so they appear all over the internet. You can link readers back to your website: the time and effort you spend on these mini-articles is a shrewd investment. Every link helps your website gain link popularity, one of the factors in your search engine ranking.

If your article's content matches the content of the web page you've linked it to, the search engines will regard this as a relevant link. Relevant links to your website are valued even higher by the search engines. And ultimately, the higher your site is ranked, the more traffic you will get because people want information.

Having your articles appear on lots of different websites helps you in two major ways:

1) Each article must provide a link back to your website. The content of the article must be related to the web page you set the article link to, because the search engines will deem this a relevant link. This is helping you to get more traffic. The more relevant links you get to your website, the higher it will be ranked in the search engines.

2) If people who use the search engines are looking for information and while reading your article finds the content interesting and helpful, they will be inclined click on the link to your website so they can continue their research. The more places you can find to display your articles, the more people will find and read them and the more traffic you will get to your website.

The article should be around 400-800 words long and contain just enough information:
-offer the reader many useful facts,
-motivate the reader to click on the link to your website for more information, and
-attract the attention of an ezine editor who may republish your article.
A good article might contain one or two tips extracted from an information product you are selling on your website. You can also use information from the web page you want the reader visit as soon as possible. A review of the product we want the client to purchase is also useful. A link pointing to the affiliate page or to a page on your own web site to offer more details can increase your traffic too.
Once you have your article ready for distribution, you need to submit to as many places as possible, including these three places:

1. Article Directories. After a quick content check, the directories will then publish your article instantly, and once you submit your content to one of these directories it will begin to be republished all over the internet. People are constantly on the lookout for quality articles, and you can allow them the rights to re-use yours as long as they leave intact the link back to your website contained in the bio at the bottom of the article. Anyone who wants to visit your site can do so by clicking on this link.

2. Ezine Editors. Submitting your articles to popular ezines related to your niche website will get you lots of well-targeted traffic. If you submit an article for publication in one, you will get a lot of publicity in return.  Having thousands of people reading your articles is always a good way to increase your website traffic.

3. Your Own Article Directory. Many webmasters and ezine publishers don't know that article directories exist. After reading one of your articles they will visit your website and you should prominently display a link to your own articles.

We must always remember that it is a successful process for all: authors get free publicity and links back to their web sites; publishers get free information for their web sites too; readers get quality information for free for their research and needs.

Writing articles like the one you are reading is another way of gaining traffic and a higher page rank. People reading the articles are potential visitors to your website. Other webmasters are able to use the articles on their websites which creates you a one way backward link. Google are more likely to increase your page rank if you have a large number of backward links, especially one way links.
